This is the first newsletter of the New Year for us.  It is our first effort to broadcast this via email to the people we work with everyday.  We hope you have a chance to read it and that you find it enjoyable and worth a few minutes of your time.

This seasons local ASHRAE meetings have been well attended for those of you who have not made it.  We have averaged over 30 people per meeting. Each presentation has been excellent.  Topics have ranged from “Building Commissioning” to “Climatic Changes by Lou McNally” to “Updated ASHRAE Standard 62”.  Everyone has learned something and had some fun.  What more could you ask for.

Nationally, the ASHRAE show is happening this month in Atlanta.  I will be there from 1/27 through 1/31 staying at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta.  I have always enjoyed the accidental meetings with people from Maine on the show floor If anyone is planning to attend and wants to get organized to meet either during the show or after hours to socialize, let me know.  I would enjoy it.

We have been involved in some interesting projects recently.  They have ranged from large rooftop fixed plate heat recovery units with oil fired reheat for CMP to 150 hp blowers for BIW’s new ship facility to large make up air units for one of the worlds most well know boat builders:  Hinkley Boat.

The featured job this month is the new Hinkley Jet Boat facility in Trenton.  You will find pictures of  a small custom boat that cost more than some houses.  The big boats were apart on the shop floor. Go to the featured job section to get a glimpse behind the curtain of one of the preeminent boat builders in the world.
